G1 Sports & Entertainment (G1SE) was founded in 2021 by Tien Huynh. Tien was a co-founder and instrumental in creating the WSU Aftershocks in 2019 and bringing it to Wichita, KS. G1SE mission is to utilize its passion for sports and entertainment to increase the quality of life and to grow the local economy.
Tien Huynh is a founding partner of The G1 Group; he founded the company with his two best friends, Chanh Nguyen and Jason Bayless in 2016. The G1 Group is an investment company founded in Wichita, KS. Their investment portfolio includes automotive, real estate, finance, sports, branding, transportation and fitness; their primary focus is automotive. G1 stands for 1st Generation, the three founding members are first generation guys that started The G1 Group. They employ 170+ employees and generates over $100M in annual revenue.
Brian Hargrove – President, G1 Sports and Entertainment
Hargrove is a graduate of Wichita State University’s Sports Administration Program. He has more than 20 years’ experience working in the sports industry across a variety of platforms. Prior to joining G1 Sports & Entertainment, he was the Executive Director of Sports Development at Visit Wichita, the General Manager at Wichita Sports Forum and spent 11 years at the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission as the Director of Events and Marketing. Hargrove started his career working at USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, working 2 Olympic Games – Sydney, Australia (2000) and Athens, Greece (2004).
